Congratulations Sheringham Distillery of Sooke! Recently awarded “World’s Best Contemporary Gin” at the 2019 World Gin Awards hosted by Gin Magazine in London, England.

Locally inspired, hand-crafted Seaside Gin is a must try now that it’s world famous. You can sample the goods at the Distillery’s new location in Sooke, located approx 35 minutes’ drive from SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort (26km) at 252 – 6731 West Coast Road, Sooke. The distillery is open January- March: Saturday 12-5pm for tours and complimentary tastings.

Sheringham is stirring up more than its award-winning Seaside Gin… spice up your cocktails or sip and savour on the rocks Kazuki Gin, Akvavit or Vodka! Curious to know what these are, then a visit to the distillery is calling…

Enjoy an afternoon sampling local spirits, then purchase your favourites to enjoy at back at your ocean cottage for Happy Hour. Make sure to check out some of their amazing cocktail recipe’s for some inspiration. We suggest pairing the Seaside Gin with a Victoria made tonic by Phillips Soda, a wedge of lime and a beautiful ocean sunset.

Bottles are also for sale in at the 17 Mile Pub Liquor Store. Only 20 minutes from the resort. These also make amazing local gift ideas.
